Brad Pattison’s Certified Trainer Educator (CTE) program has taught me a whole new way of bonding with my dog! I had treat trained my dog for 4 years, he was still insecure about being left alone, barking and howling. The positive change in his confidence level is thrilling and has impressed my family and friends. I can now leave him alone and know that he has the confidence in himself and me to relax. I now have the skills and the knowledge to pass that experience on to others, and I am excited to do it!
Educating a dog should not be a chore, it should be an enjoyable rewarding experience for both the owner and the dog!
Spending time and working with animals, whether they are my own pets or sheltered animals looking for a home, has always brought me great joy. In 2008, my husband and I decided to add to our family and brought home our beloved Rottweiler puppy, Phoenix.
After almost a full year of obedience classes using treats, we found that while Phoenix would pay attention and behave “in the ring”, her good behaviour did not extend into real world situations, jeopardizing her safety. I knew there had to be a better way to train and bond with my dog – but how?
I came across At the End of My Leash and decided to watch. Brad’s approach appealed to me and I began using some of his techniques at home. I quickly saw a marked improvement in Phoenix’s overall attention and behaviour... and was actually having fun!
On Brad’s website, I read about the BPCTE Course and knew I had found my calling. I decided to leave my job in the corporate world to pursue two things I’m passionate about – working with dogs, and helping people. I haven’t looked back since.
I love to educate people about how to communicate with their dogs, and how to train them beyond basic obedience, while helping them to form an incredible bond with their furry companions.

I love dogs; they are honest and never lie. In 2004 our family made the decision to adopt Crisper this cute Border Collie. Our boys were thrilled and everything was great for awhile or so we thought. When everything changed and our great days turned into frustration, negotiation and many different trainers offering what amounted to be useless advice. At this point Crisper had started to bite. Feeling at my wits end my husband mentioned a television show called “At the End of My Leash”, the techniques really made sense to me and the results were obvious. After a particularly bad morning of Crisper snapping at me for putting her leash on. I went to the Brad Pattison website to seek help and found that he was offering a seminar in my area. I immediately signed up and was fortunate that my dog was chosen to be part of the seminar.
